Spring Meditation Series
Mindfulness Meditation
In this first of 3 workshops, we will explore meditation techniques that can help
you to enter deep states of relaxation. You’ll learn to work effectively with physical
sensations or feelings of discomfort and pain and cultivate increasing powers
of concentration (one-pointed attention) and mindfulness (moment-to-moment
non-judging awareness).
Includes handouts.

Core Connection
A strong core improves balance and posture, reduces the risk of injury, increases the power in arm and leg movements, and helps alleviate back pain. It's important for both athletes and "professional sitters." In this two-hour workshop, we will strengthen and stretch five core muscle groups (back, abdominals, obliques, glutes, and hips) in a safe and fun way. If the thought of two hours of core work scares you, this workshop is exactly what you need!
No prior yoga experience required; absolute beginners are welcome!
